A total of 1,025 security personnel have been deployed to safeguard the thousands of participants and organizers of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree, currently underway in Central Luzon from Dec.14 to 21 in Kainomayan Scout Camp in Botolan, Zambales.
In a statement on Monday, the Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) reported that security personnel have been mobilized under a unified security plan to cover all aspects of public safety throughout the weeklong international youth event hosted by the Boy Scout of the Philippines.
The deployment includes over 800 personnel from the Philippine National Police, supported by contingents from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard and various force multipliers from partner agencies and local stakeholders.
“The security coverage shows Central Luzon’s readiness for international events and emphasizes strong inter-agency coordination among law enforcement and safety units,” PRO-3 director Brig. General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said.
Authorities assured the public that security forces would stay on heightened alert during the entire event. (PNA)
