The Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. on Wednesday launched its five-year strategic plan to complement the thriving economy of Northern Mindanao.
In a statement, Oro Chamber President Almarco Brito said the plan would serve as a roadmap to ensure leadership continuity while strengthening advocacy for ease of doing business and inclusive economic growth across the region.
“In the next five years, we see the Oro Chamber as the leading advocate for the business sector,” he said.
Brito added that leading the industry includes pushing for policies that support ease of doing business and inclusive growth in the region.
The plan reinforces the chamber’s role in supporting the city’s standing as Northern Mindanao’s richest city and one of Mindanao’s fastest-booming economies, driven by strong growth in trade, services, industry, and investments.
Brito said the strategy positions the Oro Chamber as the leading voice of the business sector in the region, advancing policies that attract investments and improve the overall business climate.
He cited Northern Mindanao’s complementary economic strengths, with Bukidnon as the agricultural backbone, Camiguin and Misamis Oriental driving tourism, and Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro functioning as industrial and services hubs.
He also noted Cagayan de Oro’s role as the region’s services center for health, education, banking, logistics, and professional services. (PNA)
