The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has launched more housing projects under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program in Mindanao over the weekend.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar and other key housing officials spent the weekend in Zamboanga City and Surigao del Norte to break ground for two 4PH projects and inspect other ongoing ones.
“Ang utos po ng mahal na Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. ay tutukan ang implementasyon ng 4PH para sa mga kababayan nating mahihirap at patuloy na nangangarap na magkaroon ng sariling tahanan (The directive of our beloved President Bongbong Marcos Jr. is to monitor the implementation of 4PH for our poor countrymen and others who dream of having their own houses),” Acuzar said in a news release.
“Dito sa Mindanao, magaganda po ang mga naka-plano nating (Here in Mindanao, we have beautiful) township developments,” he added.
On Saturday, the housing officials inspected a proposed 4PH project site for Dreams Residences, then proceeded to sign the memorandum of agreement for the ongoing Vinta Residencia in Barangay Salaan, both in Zamboanga City.
House Majority Leader Zamboanga 2nd District Rep. Mannix Dalipe and Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe welcomed the DHSUD team also composed of Undersecretaries Garry De Guzman and Avelino Tolentino III, Assistant Secretary Melissa Aradanas, National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Joeben Tai and DHSUD Regional Officer-in-charge Director Roland Eta.
They then launched the Sikat High Park Residencia in Barangay Layuhan being implemented by the NHA.
In Zamboanga City, DHSUD is eyeing about 25,000 housing units under 4PH.
On Sunday, Acuzar joined Dinagat Islands Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. and Dapa Vice Mayor Gerry Abejo for the agreement signing and groundbreaking of the Dapa Island Residences in Barangay Osmena in Siargao, the first 4PH project in the Caraga Region.
The DHSUD team also checked the NHA project for Badjaos in Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City on Friday.
“Ang mga proyektong ito ay patunay na walang ma-iiwan sa 4PH ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. Itutuloy po natin ang pangarap ng kanyang ama na tulungan ang lahat ng Pilipino na magkaroon ng sariling tahanan na ligtas at disente (These projects are proof that nothing will be left behind in President Bongbong Marcos Jr.’s 4PH. Let’s continue his father’s dream of helping all Filipinos have their own homes that are safe and decent),” Acuzar said. (PNA)
